May 2007
- May 06: Lilo left us...
- April 29: Patty left us...
- December 19: Louise left us...
- June 25: Ramona has finally her own page. You can find it here.
- September 12: Patty is since the end of August on heart medication. Her EKG was normal, but since she had blue lips the vet felt it was justified to put her on the meds. She does not like the test, and so I have to hold her twice a day. Naturally she is not very fond of me right now. The medicament seems to work well though, Patty is more active now.
- September 5: Ramona's photo can be viewed here. She'll get her own page soon.
- August 28: Patty had to visit the vet today: possible heart problems (sporadic breathing problems, blue lips). X-rays where taken and an EKG was performed. The x-ray showed a slightly enlarged heart. The results of the EKG will arrive early next week. As a side result I now have a better clue of Patty's age. According to the cardilage in her rib cage she is about 5 - 5½ years old.
- August 21: One week now with five pigs — everything is working just fine. I must say this was the easiest introduction I have ever seen. Only a few quibbles and all was set. Unbelievable.
- August 13: Not a bad day... rather a good one. We have a new pig: Ramona, a pretty, long haired sow from Orange County Cavy Haven.
- May 15: No mites, just dandruff now. I had the vet check it out.
- Mites... since weeks. Probably brought in by Lilo. I should have known better and treated them right away - way back when. Oh well...
- January 6: A little scare in the evening - Patty had nose bleeding. Thankfully, it seemed to be nothing serious. It probably was just very dry.
- We have a new pig: Lilo. She is four weeks old and very friendly. The new webpage is available here.
- The piggers are doing fine so far - just some minor things.
- Patty had a cyst in her ear which could be cleaned out. We'll have to see how fast it refills.
- Luna has an infection in her right eye. Should be easy to treat with eye ointment.
- No news are good news :-). The pigs are doing just fine: eat, sleep and make noise. No vet visits since the beginning of June!
